Since working at home is the new norm, I’ve had to change my wardrobe, especially footwear! Do you know how hard it is to find big and tall slippers that are comfortable and convenient?
Today, I will share the list of the best king-size slippers I came across during the selection process. Though some were disappointing, I came across a bunch that are fantastic.
Review of Top Extra Lage Men’s Slippers
UGG Men’s Tasman Slipper
Of all the slipper shoes for men I tried, I love the UGG Men’s Tasman Slipper the best. Initially, UGG created products for fashion editors and Hollywood royalty. As such, their quality standards were strict. And even after they expanded their target market, they retained these strict standards.
UGG slippers come in a range of sizes perfect for men with wide feet. But of all the kingsize slippers I’ve tried, it’s the only one that comes in a size 18 and 19. For durability, the slipper has a rubber sole and is made from cow suede. And for comfort, it has a flexible E.V.A. outsole, which provides superior cushioning as I walk around the house.
On the inside, these kingsize slip-on slippers are lined with dyed sheep fur and have an insole made from UGGspure wool, which keeps the feet warm and cozy.
I absolutely loved that UGG makes the slipper for men in a range of colors, including black, chestnut, chocolate, blue sapphire, seal, and true navy.
Pros
- Great traction on slippery ground
- Easy to clean with a damp cloth
- Offers some support to the ankle
Cons
- The size runs small
- The sole could be softer
- Expensive
Minnetonka Men’s Pile Lined Hardsole Slipper
If you are a customer searching for class and style, this moccasin slipper shoes for men is it for you. They are designed for outdoor and indoor wear. The rawhide lacing detail on the upper gives these men’s slippers a premium look.
To achieve their comfort and versatility, they are made with soft suede leather. And to accommodate outdoor use, these shoes feature synthetic 0.5-inch hard soles. Above the hard sole is a thick pile of soft cushioning that absorbs the pressure from my hardwood floor.
As a man with large feet, you’ll appreciate that Minnetonka has a wide fit for all its ‘normal fit’ sizes (up to 13) and goes up to size 16, which works for most men.
Pros
- Great price for its quality
- Versatile shoes
- Durable
- Great grip for a synthetic sole
Cons
- The wide size variations aren’t ‘true wide’
- Takes time to break in and experience its superior comfort
- A little too tight
Deer Stags Slipperooz Men’s Nordic S.U.P.R.O.
If you are on a tight budget, these Deer Stag Clog Slippers for men are perfect. They are comfortable, versatile, and fairly durable for their price. They offer unique S.U.P.R.O. technology and slip-lasted construction. There’s a lot of technical jargon that makes these technologies efficient, but the bottom line is that you wear these outside.
The Slipperooz feature seams on the microsuede upper for extra support and shape retention. Inside, they have a fleece lining to keep your feet warm.
Deer Stag claims that this product for men is well ventilated. However, I didn’t find their ventilation level any different from other men’s slippers I tried. My feet still sweat if I wear them for too long on a warm day. They offer decent quality and versatility for the price but are nowhere close to what other brands offer. I’m not surprised that I’ll have to replace these a couple of times before I replace the UGG Tasman slipper for men.
Pros
- The soles don’t go flat
- Machine washable
- The stitching is well done
Cons
- You get what you pay for. The quality doesn’t compare to high-end slippers for big and tall men
- They are too loud to walk around in
B.E.A.R.P.A.W. Men’s Moc II Slipper
B.E.A.R.P.A.W. makes great moccasins from a combination of fabric and synthetic materials. If you love your moccasins fluffy, you’ll appreciate B.E.A.R.P.A.W. over what other brands offer.
Inside this moccasin slipper for men are a full sheepskin lining and a comfortable footbed. I also loved that the Moc II Slipper has a molded T.P.R. rubber outsole, which offers superior cushioning, grip, and comfort.
Unfortunately, B.E.A.R.P.A.W. skimped on the size range. These only go up to a size 14, while others go up to 16, 18, and 19.
Pros
- Quality stitching
- The stretch comfortable after a couple of wears
- They aren’t too warm
Cons
- Narrow toe-box
- The tag in the middle of the arch in uncomfortable
Hanes Men’s Moccasin Slipper House Shoe
Though slippers for big and tall men are comfortable, they tend to get dirty. As such, it helps if your slippers are machine washable. Aside from this, Hanes concentrates on comfort and versatility. To provide these features, Hanes has added the following features:
- A thick memory foam that offers contoured foot support
- Gripped synthetic sole
- Hanes Fresh IQ advanced odor protection technology
Note: the sizing of these moccasins is different, and they run small. Their largest men’s size is a 3XL, which translates to a size 14/15 for big men.
Pros
- Unisex
- Smells fresh in all seasons
- Reasonably priced
Cons
- The hard rubber feels almost plastic
And The Winner Is…
UGG Men's Ascot Slipper
The UGG Men’s Ascot Slipper is the go-to option for most men looking for a comfortable and durable slipper. As we’ve come to expect from UGG, this Ascot slipper is high-quality and the upper is water-resistant.
To complement the tough exterior is a UGG Pure wool lining and insole on the inside. This lining keeps your feet warm, especially during the cold season. Being a Moccasin-style slipper, the UGG Ascot Slipper for men is stylish enough for casual wear as the rubber outsole allows for outside wear.

F.A.Q.
What is the best men’s big and tall slipper?
From my research and experience, the best slippers for big men should be versatile, durable, comfortable, odor-free, and from a reputable brand. Using the above criteria, the UGG Tasman Slipper is the best. It has a comfortable E.V.A. insole, a hardy cow suede upper, and a rubber sole.
How do I order a slipper for wide feet?
To get the right style and size, you need to read the description. In most cases, go for a size larger than your regular size. However, in the case of the UGG Ascot Slipper for men, you should use your correct size.
Do the lining wick moisture?
Unfortunately, most are designed to keep you warm but, in the process, cause a lot of sweating. We found that wearing a thin pair of socks helps to reduce sweating and control odor over time. However, you can purchase a slipper with odor control technology like the Hanes Moccasin Slipper House Shoe for men if this is a concern.
How do I clean my slippers?
It depends on the material the slipper is made from. Some like the Hanes Moccasin Slipper is usually machine washable (but always check on their description first). For suede uppers, use a suede cleaner and conditioner instead.
What slippers are ideal for wood floors?
Rubber soles offer excellent grip and prevent slipping on wood floors. The UGG Tasman Slipper is the perfect rubber sole slipper for wood floors.
Conclusion
It’s been a journey laden with foot pain and unsteady steps before I found a pair of slippers that worked for my large feet. But after searching high and low, I found several that worked and one that was perfect – The UGG Men’s Tasman Slipper. As a long time writer on Extra Large Living, I highly recommend this product because of its wide size range, high comfort levels, and versatility. The price is definitely worth it.
